Reviews

Reviews help people understand a bot through the experiences of its users and contribute to the listing’s public rating.

Find a listing’s reviews

Open a bot listing and select Reviews. The page shows the listing’s total number of reviews, its overall rating, and the balance of recommendations on the current page. Each review includes:

  • A Recommended or Not recommended conclusion.
  • A title and the reviewer’s written experience.
  • The reviewer and publication date.
  • Any public response from the listing team.
  • Helpful and not-helpful feedback from readers.

Use the previous and next controls at the bottom of the page to browse additional reviews.

Reviews on profiles

A user’s public profile includes a Reviews tab containing the reviews they have written. Selecting one takes you to the reviewed bot’s listing. This makes reviews part of both the listing’s history and the reviewer’s public contribution history.

Write a review

You must be signed in before the review action appears. To publish a review:

  1. Open the bot listing and select Reviews.
  2. Select Write a review.
  3. Enter a title between 2 and 128 characters.
  4. Describe your experience in 2 to 1,024 characters.
  5. Choose whether you recommend the bot.
  6. Select Post review.

Write a useful review

Give readers enough context to decide whether the bot fits their needs:

  • Describe what you used the bot for and, when relevant, the type of server in which you used it.
  • Focus on behavior you observed, including setup, reliability, features, support, and ease of use.
  • Explain both strengths and limitations instead of relying on the recommendation alone.
  • Keep criticism specific and constructive. Do not include private information, harassment, or unrelated disputes.
  • Review the bot as it currently works and make it clear when an experience relates to an older version.

How reviews affect a listing

A published review changes or contributes to several public signals:

  • Review count: the listing’s total is shown on its review page, listing header, cards, and management dashboard.
  • Overall rating: recommendations and non-recommendations contribute to a descriptive rating such as Positive, Mixed, or Negative. A listing without enough rating data can appear as Unrated.
  • Discovery: visitors can filter search results by rating, so a listing’s rating can affect which filtered result sets include it.
  • Standing: the rating label, review volume, written feedback, and listing-team responses give visitors public context about the bot’s reputation and maintenance.

For listing owners

Reviews are visible in your listing’s public listing activity and contribute to the rating shown in the management dashboard. Team members with review-response permissions can respond publicly to feedback. Use a response to acknowledge the experience, clarify relevant details, or explain how an issue was resolved.

A response does not change the reviewer’s recommendation by itself. Treat repeated themes as product or documentation feedback, and keep your listing overview, commands, support links, and setup instructions current so visitors arrive with accurate expectations.
