DocsBot listings

Quick start

Turn your Discord application into a clear, useful bot listing in four steps.

Before you start

Have the following ready before opening the listing form:

  • The application ID from the Discord Developer Portal.
  • A working Discord installation URL for the bot.
  • A short explanation of what the bot does and who it is for.
  • Brand colors and any support, website, or social links you want to include.

1. Select your bot

Open the new bot form and enter your application ID. dsc.bot checks the Discord application and shows the bot account it found. Confirm the name and avatar before continuing.

If the form reports an application problem, follow the provided link to correct it in the Discord Developer Portal and try again.

2. Add listing details

Complete the information people will use to understand and install your bot:

  • Installation URL: the Discord authorization link used to add the bot.
  • Support server: an optional Discord invite code where users can get help.
  • Brief description: a concise summary shown throughout discovery pages.
  • Tags: relevant categories and capabilities that improve discovery.
  • Links: up to five useful destinations such as a website, status page, or source repository.
  • Brand colors: colors used to personalize the listing presentation.

3. Write the overview

The overview is the main content on your listing. Start from an HTML or Markdown template, or begin with an empty editor. Explain the bot’s primary features, show how someone gets started, and set expectations about support or required configuration.

See Build your overview for supported components, variables, embeds, and custom styles.

Use headings and short sections so visitors can scan the page. Preview the result and verify every link before moving on.

4. Review and submit

Review the selected bot and listing information, then submit it. If validation fails, return to the affected step and correct the highlighted field before trying again.

After submission

Use the listing management dashboard to keep details, links, commands, and other information current. Watch for moderation feedback and address any requested changes. A listing should continue to describe the bot accurately as its features evolve.
