Terms of Service
These Terms govern your access to and use of dsc.bot.
Effective date: September 13, 2026
Last updated: September 13, 2026
Accepting these Terms
These Terms of Service (Terms) are an agreement between you and the operator of dsc.bot (dsc.bot, we, us, or our). They apply to the dsc.bot website, API, documentation, and related services we operate (together, the Service).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service for a company, team, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it, and you includes that organization.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old and meet the minimum age required to use Discord and consent to online services in your country. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf. You may not use the Service if doing so is prohibited by law or if we have previously suspended you and have not authorized your return.
Accounts and Discord
Some features require you to sign in with Discord. You are responsible for your Discord account, activity performed through your dsc.bot session, and the accuracy of information associated with your account. You must promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
Only approve Discord OAuth scopes you understand. dsc.bot will use approved access to provide the features you request, such as identifying your account or confirming which applications you can manage. Your use of Discord remains subject to Discord’s own terms and policies. dsc.bot is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Discord Inc.
The Service
dsc.bot is a directory and management platform where people can discover Discord bots and where developers can publish and maintain bot listings. The Service may include search, reviews, votes, profiles, listing analytics, team tools, APIs, webhooks, moderation, and links to install bots or view products offered through Discord.
Unless we expressly say otherwise, dsc.bot does not own, operate, audit, endorse, or guarantee listed bots. A bot’s developer—not dsc.bot—is responsible for the bot, its availability, permissions, content, security, support, data practices, and compliance with law. Listing position, badges, ratings, votes, reviews, moderation status, or promotional placement are not warranties or endorsements.
Bot listings and developers
If you create, claim, or manage a listing, you represent and agree that:
- You are authorized to act for the listed Discord application and to grant the rights in these Terms.
- Your listing is truthful, current, and not misleading, and you will correct material inaccuracies promptly.
- Your bot and listing comply with applicable law, Discord’s terms and developer policies, intellectual-property rights, and these Terms.
- You will clearly disclose your bot’s material features, required permissions, paid functionality, age restrictions, and data practices, and will provide your own accessible privacy policy and terms when appropriate or required.
- You are responsible for user support, refunds or disputes relating to your bot, and the security of your systems.
- You will keep API tokens, webhook authentication values, and other credentials confidential and will promptly rotate them if they may have been exposed.
- You will only configure webhook destinations you control or are authorized to use.
We may verify ownership or management rights, request additional information, require changes, or decline, hide, relabel, or remove a listing. Transferring a listing does not transfer ownership of the underlying Discord application or any intellectual property.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit, such as listing descriptions, graphics, links, commands, reviews, reports, responses, and update posts (Your Content). You are responsible for Your Content and represent that you have all rights needed to submit it.
You grant dsc.bot a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify solely for formatting or technical purposes, translate, display, distribute, and otherwise use Your Content as needed to operate, secure, improve, and promote the Service. This license allows us to make public content available to other users and through Service features such as search results, previews, APIs, and promotional materials. It ends when Your Content is deleted from our systems, except to the extent it has been shared with others, incorporated into non-identifying analytics, or must be retained for legal, safety, backup, or integrity reasons.
You may provide suggestions or feedback. You grant us permission to use feedback without restriction or compensation, but we are not required to use it.
Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- Break the law, violate another person’s rights, or encourage others to do so.
- Publish content you do not have the right to use or that infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights.
- Harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate, defame, or expose private information about another person, or facilitate child sexual exploitation or other abuse.
- Distribute malware, phishing, scams, credential theft, unwanted advertising, or deceptive links.
- List a bot that secretly performs materially different actions from those disclosed to users.
- Manipulate votes, reviews, ratings, search results, analytics, reports, or moderation systems, including through bots, purchased engagement, coordinated inauthentic activity, or multiple accounts.
- Access another user’s account, listing, data, token, or webhook without authorization.
- Probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or circumvent the Service or its security, access controls, rate limits, moderation, or bot-protection systems, except where applicable law expressly permits security research that cannot be restricted by contract.
- Scrape or automate access in a way that violates posted instructions, bypasses the API, degrades the Service, or collects personal information without a lawful basis. Use our documented API when one is available and follow its limits.
- Use the Service, its name, or its content to falsely imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation.
Content intended for mature audiences must be accurately labeled and may be restricted or prohibited. We may establish additional technical limits or content rules for particular features.
Moderation and enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and take action we reasonably consider appropriate, including warning users, limiting visibility, adding labels, rejecting listings, removing content, revoking API or webhook access, suspending accounts, preserving evidence, or reporting conduct to relevant authorities. We may use automated signals and human review.
We are not obligated to monitor all content and cannot guarantee that objectionable content will be removed immediately. If you believe content or conduct violates these Terms or your rights, use the Service’s reporting tools or contact us. Where an appeal is offered, provide accurate information and do not abuse the process.
Our rights
The Service—including its software, design, branding, documentation, and content created by us—is owned by dsc.bot or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Service for its intended purposes. No other rights are granted.
Discord names, logos, and assets belong to Discord or their respective owners. Bot names, artwork, and other third-party content belong to their respective owners. You may not remove ownership notices or use dsc.bot branding in a confusing or misleading way.
Third-party services
The Service includes information from and links to third-party services, including Discord, listed bots, support servers, developer websites, and product pages. Your interactions with them are between you and the relevant third party. Their terms and privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for their content, security, availability, purchases, refunds, or conduct.
Any products shown in a listing’s Store tab are offered and purchased through Discord or the relevant developer; dsc.bot is not the seller or payment processor unless a checkout page expressly states otherwise.
Changes to the Service
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service. Features may be experimental, incomplete, or released as a preview, and data in development versions may be reset or deleted. We do not promise that any feature, listing, URL, ranking, integration, or stored content will remain available. We will provide notice when required by law.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. Account controls may allow you to request an export or termination, subject to reasonable steps needed to resolve owned listings, teams, subscriptions, recent activity, or legal and safety obligations.
We may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or stop providing the Service if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, repeatedly infringe rights, or if the Service is discontinued. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including licenses already granted where necessary, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and dispute terms.
Disclaimers
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” DSC.BOT AND ITS CONTRIBUTORS DISCLAIM ALL EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, accurate, secure, or error-free; that content or data will be preserved; or that listed bots, links, reviews, ratings, downloads, or other third-party offerings are safe, lawful, accurate, or suitable for you. Use appropriate care before adding a bot to a Discord account or server, granting permissions, following links, or making a purchase. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some exclusions may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DSC.BOT AND ITS OPERATOR, CONTRIBUTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED THAT SUCH DAMAGES ARE POSSIBLE.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF US$100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID DIRECTLY TO DSC.BOT FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. These limits do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited, including rights that applicable consumer law does not permit you to waive.
Indemnity
If you use the Service on behalf of a business or manage a bot listing, to the extent permitted by law you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless dsc.bot, its operator, and contributors from third-party claims, damages, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your bot, Your Content, your integrations, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person’s rights. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own unlawful conduct.
Disputes and governing law
Before filing a formal claim, you and dsc.bot agree to make a reasonable, good-faith effort to resolve the dispute informally. Send a description of the issue and the relief requested using the contact method below, and allow 30 days for a response. This requirement does not prevent either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief or using a small-claims process where available.
These Terms are governed by the laws that apply in the jurisdiction where dsc.bot’s operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute not resolved informally may be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this section does not deprive you of mandatory protections or the right to bring a claim in a forum available under the law where you live.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law, security needs, or our practices. We will post the revised Terms and update the date above. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice when required. Changes apply prospectively from their effective date. By continuing to use the Service after revised Terms take effect, you agree to them; if you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
General terms
These Terms and the policies they incorporate are the entire agreement between you and dsc.bot about the Service. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified only as much as necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization, transfer, or sale of the Service. Headings are for convenience only, and “including” means “including without limitation.”
Contact us
Questions, legal notices, and appeals concerning these Terms may be directed to the dsc.bot team through our official support server. Do not post sensitive information in a public channel; ask for a private support route.
